Here are some pictures of my 1956 Buick Special Wagon. It reatains its 322" Nailhead motor, adapted to a 700r4 OD transmission, and a Ford 3.55 ratio rear end. I have also added Power Disc brakes up front for additional stopping power. Its a great cruiser!!!

Wow.  That is one great looking Buick.  At first glance I though straight eight, but wait they didn't use a straight eight in 56.

Is that engine laying over to the left?  That's quite unique.

To answer some questions,  the motor sits perfectly straight on new motor mounts. The angle of the photo makes it look that way. The disc brakes were not that hard to install. I used brackerts from http://www.discbrakemike.com/ . It uses all GM parts and converts from ball bearing to roller bearing. He gives you a list of parts with part numbers. You still have the 5x5 bolt pattern. The whole setup minus the booster master was around $350.00. Theres no room underneath for a master and booster. There was some work involved in mounting the master and booster on the firewall, as well as a new universal hanging pedal assembly from No Limit Engineering here in San Bernardino, CA. Thats where I live in So Cal. Thanks for all the comments.
